Good to know
- For the Admiralty entrance, take the MTR to Admiralty and use Exit A (Admiralty Centre), then walk to the park. The planner above shows the route and walking time.
- For the Central entrance, next to Central Pier 10: take the MTR to Hong Kong station (the Airport Express and Tung Chung Line stop there) or Central, and walk through IFC to the Central Ferry Piers, about 10 minutes.
- From Tsim Sha Tsui, the Star Ferry to Central Pier 7 is the nicest way in: the Pier 10 entrance is a few minutes' walk along the piers. The ferry stops in the late evening, so check its last sailing before you plan to go back that way.
- Fri and Sat evenings are the busiest. Arrive by late afternoon to avoid the entry queues. Last entry is before closing: 30 minutes before on Thu and Sun, an hour before on Fri and Sat.
- On Fri and Sat the festival closes at 1am, around the time the last trains leave Admiralty. If you stay to closing, plan on a night bus from Admiralty: plan the way home in the planner for tonight's times.
- Admiralty Exit A may be a stair lift (ask staff) rather than a lift. Turn on step-free in the planner for a lift route. The harbourfront itself is flat.
- Getting home on Halloween weekend (30 Oct – 1 Nov)
