Getting home on Halloween weekend (30 Oct – 1 Nov)
Updated
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and five big events run across Hong Kong Island and Kowloon from Fri 30 Oct to Sun 1 Nov. Getting there is easy. Getting home late is the hard part. Here is the nearest station for each venue, the last-train timing to watch, and what runs after midnight.
Quick answer: For Wan Chai Harbourfront, Tamar Park and Lan Kwai Fong, the MTR is fastest until the last trains, around 00:55 from Admiralty (check MTR on the night). MTR has not announced overnight or extra Halloween trains for 2026, so after that, take a night bus (N-routes). From Kai Tak, walk 10–15 minutes to Prince Edward Road East or Ma Tau Kok Road for buses and minibuses. The Hong Kong Sixes ends in daylight, so it's an easy trip home. Taxi queues get long after midnight everywhere.

- Closing at 1am on Fri and Sat is around the time the last trains leave. The last Tsuen Wan line trains from Admiralty leave around 00:55 (check MTR on the night). The last East Rail trains to Sha Tin were earlier, so after midnight Sha Tin takes about 27 min by a mix of MTR and night bus. If you stay to closing, plan on a night bus.

- Special buses (SP routes) have run on recent concert nights, but TD has not published a notice for these shows yet. Don't count on them until it does.
